memories of months
January-sound sleep, dreamy eyes, hunt for calendars, silent air, catching up on cricket down under usually in the early wee hours of the morning…
February- Shortest month in the calendar, Feeling Lovesick, romantic movie season, saraswati ma puja at my home, cricket in west indies, runny nose, fever, chill, bodyache, under the weather everytime..
March- Holi, memories of all those years spent in exams, switching on the fun for the very first time the year ( nostalgia ) and film awards, blooming of flowers...
April- Bengal celebrates Nabobarsho with much pomp and gaiety, things are heating up weatherwise around this time…
May- Evenings are half as pleasant as the mornings harsh, body scorches and liquid intake, air conditioners, rising electricity bills, frequent power cuts, ill temper..
June- Intense heat, want some respite, AC in full steam, Kulfi ,praying for thunderstorms and rains and repenting having asked for it later on; usually holiday month since school, has remained so…
July- Rains and colling of the airs, music, aura of romanticism..
August- Patriotism fills the air....concerts..hope.
September- Countdown to Durgotsav and body wanting a break …holidays ??
October- Usually the most festive month having usually many holidays including Glittering lights of Diwali ..Free to do as I choose plus good food generally helps...
November- Solemn month, pollution, winter just setting in..
December-Under the mattress, pollution and dust, cakes and heavy breakfast, Fan no longer needed, playing cricket, Christmas, 31st night shows on TV and making new year resolutions hoping / praying a better year in next one..

Odisha Odessi
Went on a weeklong tour with ma and baba to Odisha for partly work and part pleasure. Liked Rambha and Gopalpur on Sea in particular. Realised not for the first time that Bengal and Odisha have much in common, the trip only reaffirmed my faith. (Good food helps decide !)
